Apple has sold out of refurbished last-generation 15-inch MacBook Pros from its online store as the company introduces new models expected to ship to customers in the coming weeks. As noted by customers on Reddit, Apple previously had several models of refurbished last-generation MacBook Pro models available at discounted prices, but that supply is now dwindling as customers pick up remaining stock. There are still places to pick up the refurbished last-generation 15-inch MacBook Pro, however....

While the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. once spent their time tracking down rogue technology and the odd person with special abilities, the show’s third season saw it begin to stray into more ambitious territory, with Skye a.k.a. Daisy a.k.a. Quake making efforts to form her own team of Inhumans and guide them tp use their newfound powers for good. Of course, this plan proved to be easier in theory than in execution....

Actor Jeff Ward has been added to the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a “key” recurring role. This news arrives but a few weeks after filming officially began on season 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe-based ABC TV series. Guessing what Ward’s role could be in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. might be difficult, since not much is known of the plot for the show’s fifth season - other than what we can infer from the cliffhanger of the season 4 finale....

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s landmark episode 100 will welcome the return of Hive and Lash, two key characters from season 3. Hive was the immortal alien that inhabited the body of Brett Dalton’s Ward while Lash was the Inhuman monster that hunted other Inhumans. Both Hive and Lash were killed, which suggests that both characters may appear in flashbacks. Inhumans were a major part of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. during the show’s third season....

Following a preview in 2010, Adobe has finally released a pre-release version of their ‘Wallaby’ Flash-to-HTML5 file conversion software. The software is easy for developers to use and allows developers to drag and drop their Flash content into an Adobe Air application that will then convert it to HTML5 code. The new code can then be completely edited in programs like Adobe Dreamweaver or manually by hand in text editing software....

Reddit pointed out this morning that the invaluable ‘EveryAppleVideo’ YouTube channel has gone dark for unknown reasons. Visiting the channel page takes you to an empty channel under a banner reading ‘This channel was closed and is no longer available.’ without further explanation. ‘Previously the channel hosted 1000+ Apple ads, keynotes, and other videos dating back to the 80s which served as the ultimate archive of sorts. Apple hosts its own ads and keynotes on YouTube regularly, although videos are frequently replaced when new material becomes available....

Adobe has released a new version of Photoshop Lightroom for iOS that includes more powerful tools for shooting on the iPhone. Authentic HDR is a new mode that rivals competing high-dynamic-range methods. Version 2.7 also includes exporting raw images and a new widget for 3D Touch and the Today view in Notification Center. Authentic HDR, or raw HDR, is a new capture mode that Adobe says “combines the benefits of HDR technology and DNG raw” and “automatically analyzes a scene to determine the appropriate spread of exposure values over three shots, then automatically aligns, de-ghosts, and tone maps the image, creating a 32-bit floating point DNG file....

With season 2 of Agent Carter about to wrap up and the midseason break nearly over, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is gearing up for the second half of its third season. Season 3 has introduced several new characters and concepts – including a huge change to the previous understanding of recurring Marvel Cinematic Universe bad-guy organization HYDRA – that have fans eager to see where the story is headed after the shocking midseason-finale....

Just in time for 2018’s NAB Show, kicking off in Las Vegas on April 7th, Adobe has announced significant enhancements to its suite of professional video tools as well as improvements to the company’s photography software. Today’s changes come as an update to the 2018 release of Creative Cloud, announced last fall at Adobe MAX. Adobe says the new features are in response to growing pressure on content creators to produce more work of higher quality in a shorter amount of time....

The Adobe Photoshop Touch iOS app received a slew of fixes and small new features this morning after being updated to version 1.2 overnight. The most notable feature in version 1.2 is a new maximum resolution of 2,048-by-2,048 pixels for images. The default measurement will still be 1,600-by-1,600 pixels, but for those looking for a little more can change it in the app’s settings. Sadly, Photoshop Touch still is not Retina-compatible....

Earlier this month, Apple refreshed its MacBook Pro line with faster performance, but the company was forced to stick with 14-nanometer Coffee Lake processors due to delays from Intel. During its Q2 earnings call this week, however, Intel finally offered more details on when its 10-nanometer Cannon Lake CPUs will be available… For those keeping track, Cannon Lake was originally scheduled to be released in 2016, but Intel was forced to delay its chips....

Apple says that the amount raised this year from the sale of (RED) products – where a proportion of the price contributes to a global fund to fight AIDS – has reached a record high of more than $30M. The company says that this is the equivalent of 144 million days of life-saving ARV medication which prevents the transmission of HIV from mothers to their unborn babies … The $500M total for (RED) contributions across the past 11 years is equivalent to 475 million days of lifesaving medication....
