Prisma first launched on iOS back in July, bringing AI-powered artistic photo filters to the iPhone. We were impressed with the quality and variety of filters, noting the server-side machine learning aspect that made these filters possible, but Prisma’s popularity was often too much for those servers and resulted in slow filter previews. Today Prisma seems to have solved that problem by making most of its filters available offline. Bloomberg reports that Adobe is currently developing a cross-platform Photoshop app for iOS, described as a ‘full version’ of the popular desktop image editing suite. Adobe’s Creative Cloud product officer confirmed the plans and wants to get them ‘on the market as soon as possible.’ Bloomberg’s sources indicate the new app will be demoed in October, targeting a 2019 debut. Adobe currently has several mobile ‘Photoshop’ apps on the App Store, but they constitute small slices of the full desktop app feature-set....

In addition to significant improvements to its prototyping tool XD, Adobe today released updates to Lightroom with new ways to learn photo techniques, improved editing features, and more. The updates are rolling out to Mac and iOS customers starting today. One of the most interesting new features in Lightroom is a tool Adobe calls Texture. In an effort to make PDF documents more accessible and beneficial for customers, Adobe and Dropbox are teaming up to offer integration in Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader, and in Dropbox’s site and apps. Dropbox and Adobe customers will first notice the integration in Acrobat DC and Reader on the desktop with Acrobat Reader and Dropbox for iOS picking up the integration later this year. For Acrobat users, Dropbox integration means three things: easily find and send files stored in Dropbox using Acrobat in a single workflow, manipulate and collaborate with PDF files using either service including Adobe eSign integration, and ensure documents are accessible through Dropbox wherever you’re working....
