New York Comic-Con 2016 is in full swing this week, and it shouldn’t come as any surprise that Marvel has a presence at the event. While the upcoming films of Phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are sitting this convention out (following another Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con), the TV side of the franchise is represented by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now in its fourth season, the show’s cast and crew are at NYCC to promote the latest developments, teasing viewers with the promise of “strange things” and the possibility of a Netflix crossover....

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has officially outlasted all of the other Marvel TV shows that debuted during its run. The ABC series, created by Joss and Jed Whedon, is set to air its seventh and last season in 2020. Despite being on the network’s chopping block year after year, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. found a way to keep fans interested. When Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first debuted in 2013, it followed Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) after his surprise survival following his presumed death in The Avengers....

According to a new report from TechCrunch, Apple’s AirPods are gaining support for Live Listen as part of iOS 12. This feature was originally introduced in 2014 as a way for hearing aids to tap into the iPhone microphone… In the past, Live Listen has been reserved for hearing aids certified through the Made for iPhone hearing aid program. With iOS 12, however, AirPods will join the club with support for the feature....

There’s yet another player offering converged solutions for mobile devices, tablets — even TVs — Adobe has entered the fray with the release of Adobe AIR 2.5. Adobe AIR 2.5 aims to help developers build solutions for a wide range of devices — including iOS iOS… Famously, Apple CEO urged Adobe to develop and implement better mobile solutions within his open letter on Flash, which ended with the admonition that, “Adobe should focus more on creating great HTML5 tools for the future, and less on criticizing Apple for leaving the past behind....

In a series of blog posts today, Adobe outlined changes and improvements announced for their Lightroom CC ecosystem and XD prototyping tool. According to Adobe, February’s Lightroom ecosystem updates focus on significant performance enhancements and feature requests from customers to improve existing workflows. Since introducing Lightroom CC last fall at Adobe MAX and renaming its predecessor Lightroom Classic CC, Adobe has been quickly iterating on the new application to bring it up to par with its previous tools....

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6 could feature the return of the Kree. Brought to the big screen through Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel, the Kree have been a background presence in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. since the series began. They were responsible for creating the Inhumans, an evolutionary offshoot of humanity that’s featured prominently in the show. The Kree played a major part in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5, with humanity threatened by an alien Confederacy....

Apple already uses AI smarts to help with iPhone image processing via the neural engine that has been part of A-series chips since the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. But future iPhones could see some AI processing performed directly by the camera sensor itself … The Verge reports that Sony – which supplies the advanced image sensors used in current iPhones – is working on integrating AI smarts directly into the sensor....

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will team up with Paramount to produce the 1840s-Boston-set undercover police drama The Shadows. The duo’s Pearl Street Films shingle, headed up by president Jennifer Todd, produced last year’s Best Picture nominee Manchester By the Sea as well as Affleck’s own box office bomb Live By Night. Based on the Boston Globe Magazine article “Into the Shadows” by Matthew Pearl, The Shadows will tell the story of America’s first undercover police detectives, who are dispatched to the dangerous streets of 1840s Boston to deal with a crime wave that coincides with an influx of immigrants to the city....

Ahead of the impending launch of Apple Pay Cash in Messages, Facebook and PayPal today announced a new partnership that allows users to send money to each other via Messenger. Today’s announcement is an extension of a partnership between the two companies that began last year…. Last year, PayPal and Facebook partnered to allow users to connect their accounts from both services, making it easier to shop on Messenger using PayPal....

Air pollution in China has spiked in Zhengzhou, colloquially known as ‘iPhone city’ as it is the center of assembly operations by Apple’s key iPhone suppliers. Analysts say that the increase in pollution can be directly linked to iPhone 12 production … CNBC reports. That, of course, fits with the delayed production schedule for the iPhone 12. Morgan Stanley analysts on Wednesday said that they were tracking air quality reports in Chinese cities that suggested an increase in industrial activity tied to iPhone 12 production....

A new survey of US consumers shows that Apple’s AirPods are the preferred brand for true wireless in-ear headphones, suggesting that the company’s market dominance is likely to continue. Some 57% of respondents named Apple as a preferred brand, with Bose, Samsung, Sony, and Beats completing the top five… CounterPoint Research asked consumers to name the brands they would consider buying. For some, more than one brand was on their list, hence the percentages adding up to more than 100%....

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook announced this Saturday that Apple will be donating to support relief efforts on the ground after tornadoes across several US states left dozens of people dead. According to NBC News, more than 70 people are feared dead after a series of tornadoes ripped through Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas through Friday and Saturday. Kentucky Gov.
