This powers the auto-play/pause feature. This detection can sometimes be fooled, however, when you place loose AirPods down onto a desk or onto your lap for a short time....

With Apple increasingly seeking to bring chip and component design in-house, the next company to lose out could be display driver maker Synaptics. The prediction was made by Credit Suisse analysts, who said that the company was at ‘moderate to high risk’ of losing its Apple contract. The prediction follows Apple’s warning that it plans to stop using Imagination Technologies GPUs within two years, causing the company’s stock to drop dramatically, and a separate report suggesting that Apple also planned to drop Dialog as a supplier …...

Origin is an online digital video game distribution platform by Electronic Arts for the purchase and playing of video games. The platform is available to use in both PC and smartphones. Origin is entirely identical to Steam, which is their primary competitor as of now. Just like its competitor, Origin contains social features such as profile management, networking with friends, streaming via Twitch and sharing of the game library, etc. In 2011, Electronic Arts stated that they wanted Origin to match Valve’s Steam service, thus bringing in cloud game saves, auto-patching, achievements, and cross-platform releases....

Snapchat’s big redesign earlier this year hasn’t gone over well with many users, with over a million of them petitioning for the company to revert to the original design. The last few episodes of Season 5 have been concurrent with the latest Marvel movie, and everything’s building up to the dramatic moment when Thanos snaps his fingers and erases half the life in the universe. A sketchy report out of Apple rumor site Applesfera today claims that AirPods 2 will be released on March 29th. The report cites a source familiar with Apple’s plans and says that original AirPods will be replaced by AirPods 2 next month. The report is apparently basing its March 29th date on a screenshot of “logistics and product stock management software” that shows original AirPods reaching the end of their “life cycle” on March 28th....

After years of rumors, AirTags were officially released earlier this year with a robust set of Find My features as well as safety precautions. Over the last week, however, a story out of Canada has gained traction after police warned that thieves are using AirTags to “locate and steal” luxury cars. The York Regional Police department issued a statement last week detailing the situation. According to the department, officers have investigated five incidents involving AirTags being used to steal luxury cars....
