Since 2000 we’ve been blessed with 10 X-Men movies, with another two coming this year. In this time, we’ve come to see definitive performances, such as Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Additionally, we’ve seen major roles, like Magneto and Professor Xavier, recast to great success as the franchise freshens up for the future slate of movies. While the movies have varied in terms of quality and success, it must be applauded that the casting agents have done a tremendous job so far....

As the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast headed to their first Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con, the news broke that 2020’s season seven will be the last for the series. The show was the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV flagship series. It’s outlasted all of the Netflix shows that came after it, and even lasted beyond Agent Carter and Inhumans on its network home of ABC. Adobe announced back in December that it would be renaming Flash Professional as Animate CC in recognition of the fact that HTML 5 has now taken over from Flash as the main form of web animation. It has now done so, adding in a “seriously long list” of new features at the same time. The new features range from new vector art brushes to a rotating stage whose contents scale proportionally to the size – and the company is providing live demos on its Twitch....

After recently adding native support for ProRes RAW in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder, Adobe has added support for Apple’s Afterburner card in beta builds of Premiere Pro. As noted by MacRumors, the Apple Afterburner Card will accelerate ProRes 4444 and ProRes 422 video codec decoding in Adobe’s NLE, supplementing other hardware to aid performance. ProRes RAW acceleration is not yet available in the beta. The $2,000 Apple Afterburner Card is a Mac Pro exclusive that can be added during the build-to-order process, or after the fact via a standalone purchase....

AER: Memories of Old’s calm atmosphere and laid-back gameplay make it decent chill pill, but its intriguing narrative and lore winds up being wasted. Peaceful, mysterious, and barren would all be apt descriptions or AER: Memories of Old. Set in a scenic world of fractured, floating islands, players control a chosen warrior with the ability to transform into a bird. Soaring through the skies to unravel an ancient mystery won’t deliver a million thrills a minute, and aspects of the world definitely underwhelm, but AER can be a chill way to burn a couple of hours....

Netflix’s After Life is the gut-wrenching tale of a man (Tony) who loses his wife (Lisa) to cancer. Throughout season one, we see Tony come to grips with no longer having his wife by his side and to cope he watches a video she left behind for him. In the video, she essentially reminds him of how to do life without her. And even with her inspiring and hopeful words, they fall on Tony’s ears for most of the season....

Update: Prince’s catalog is now live on Apple Music. Ahead of The Grammys this evening, Warner Brothers has announced that Prince’s music will become available on streaming services this afternoon. Originally rumored earlier this month, the release of Prince’s catalog to Apple Music and other services comes as a tribute to the late-artist is expected at The Grammys. Prince’s music is already live on Spotify, but should rollout to Apple Music and other streaming platforms before The Grammys commence this evening, as noted by Bloomberg....

Apple has made quite of bit of progress in its efforts to improve the anti-stalking and privacy features of its AirTag item trackers. This is despite the fact that AirTag launched with a set of anti-tracking features more sophisticated that similar products on the market.
