Adobe is releasing updates to some of its Creative Cloud apps today, delivering promised features for video editors and new capabilities for designers. Adobe and leading artists have also teamed up to provide creative resources and tutorials for creatives cooped up at home. Premiere Pro Today’s headline feature is Productions, a new toolset for Premiere Pro first previewed in January at the Sundance Film Festival. Productions is a system of organization that Adobe hopes will improve workflows for feature film, broadcast, and and web-based episodic content....

Avengers: Endgame is all the talk in the movie business these days. Not only is the film breaking every box office record around, but it ended a ground-breaking 22-movie storytelling arc in a way that seems to have left fans more than satisfied. And while Endgame certainly does close a big chapter in the MCU, we all know there’s plenty more to come from this cinematic universe. As we look forward to the future of the MCU, there are endless possibilities with more characters available and the stage set for all-new heroes to step into the spotlight....

From their first introduction in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the audience knew Leopold Fitz and Jemma Simmons had a special bond. Before they were even shown on the screen, they were introduced as one entity: FitzSimmons. Throughout the show’s run, Fitz and Simmons grew from best friends to the ultimate romantic partners. Fitz and Simmons will traverse the universe a million times over to get to one another. Neither time nor space can keep them apart....

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 7 should end with Quake recognized as the team’s Iron Man, i.e. the top superhero of the Marvel TV universe. Marvel’s flagship series announced that summer 2020’s season 7 would be Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s last. Launched in 2014, the Clark Gregg-fronted spinoff has gradually carved out its own niche in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and created characters beloved by their loyal fanbase. Jeff Huber, senior vice president of commerce and local at Google, posted on Google+ last night that the Street View team built a Street View exhibit at the Computer History Museum. Cool. Of more interest to Apple users: Huber took to the comments to answer some questions for an iOS user. He said Google looks forward to providing “Amazing Google Maps experiences on iOS.” That does not sound like a web app or anything like Google now offers in its Google Earth app or its Latitude app....

While we expect a ton of businesses to soon start integrating iOS 6’s Passbook feature for storing boarding passes, loyalty cards, coupons, etc., it appears one airline has already done so. Australian Business Traveler reported that a reader was recently able to load a boarding pass into Passbook while checking in to a Virgin Australia flight by simply using his iPhone running iOS 6: Interestingly, this popup message is not actually coming from iOS itself, but rather from the airline’s website, which has detected iOS 6 as the phone’s operating system....

The AirTag stalking controversy, which forced Apple to beef up the protections offered against misuse of the tracking device, has led Tile to follow the Cupertino company’s example. Tile has announced a Scan and Secure feature, which allows anyone to check for the presence of its own trackers – though in a clunkier fashion than Apple’s safeguards … Background It wasn’t long after AirTags launched that we started to see stories about stalkers and thieves misusing the devices....

Samsung showed off its new Galaxy Fold this week – a two thousand dollar foldable smartphone due to go on sale in April. While it’s more of a proof-of-concept product than anything most people would want to buy, it inevitably raised questions about when Apple would launch a folding iPhone. Goldman Sachs described the Galaxy Fold as ‘the main potential challenge‘ for Apple, and suggested that even if the Cupertino company wants to make a folding iPhone, it may struggle to do so …...

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may be most thought of as testing the television storytelling waters by being the first ongoing series to be an extension of a (meta) feature film franchise, but the show actually has pushed the envelope in other ways over the past three years. Marvel’s first (and, so far, longest-lived) TV venture has proven to be remarkably fluid in a way that few other series have. S.H.I.E.L.D. started off with a very specific, mostly curtailed premise: Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) gets a small, five-man team to help support him on his mission to track down 0-8-4s, those unknown – and usually alien – items or individuals that seem to keep popping up all over the face of the Earth (this is the mission audiences see him engaged in in the movies and the Marvel One-Shot short films, even if they didn’t necessarily know its technical mandate at the time)....

[SPOILERS for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. up to Season 3, episode 10 ahead] - Agent. Hero. Friend. Traitor. Prisoner. Villain. Zombie. It is safe to say that Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) has gone through more than his fair share of drastic transformations on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. throughout the last two and a half seasons. Introduced as the loner super spy, it was the surprising reveal that Ward was actually an undercover HYDRA agent that helped launch the show into its creative resurgence at the end of Season 1....

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to finish later next year, but with Marvel Studios already looking to the future, there’s no doubt there may be some plans already in place for Daisy, FitzSimmons, Coulson, Mack, Yo-Yo and the rest of the gang. The show has gone from success to success becoming one of the most beloved superhero shows on TV today. With so much time and energy having been put into these phenomenal characters, it would be a shame to lose them completely....

What could happen in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seasons 6 and 7? When the scripts were written for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5, the show’s fate seemed to be up in the air. As such, the season finale was carefully designed to wrap up as many plot threads as possible, so it could potentially serve as an end to the entire show. In the end, though, ABC renewed the series for an abbreviated sixth season, which will air in the summer; they then surprised everybody by announcing a seventh season as well, which is reportedly due to start filming in February....

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s season five finale has been designed to work as a satisfying conclusion to the series if it doesn’t end up getting commissioned for another run. Coulson and his agents have been as busy as ever in A.o.S.’s fifth season, finding themselves in outer space decades into the future, haunted by their past foes for an 100th episode special and having to deal with the re-emergence of HYDRA. There’s also the small matter of preventing the apocalypse for the gang to worry about....

Adobe today announced the inaugural release of Aero Desktop, the long-awaited AR creation companion to Aero on iOS and iPadOS. Aero is available today in public beta as part of Adobe MAX 2020, where Adobe announced significant updates to its entire ecosystem of apps like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Fresco. Adobe Aero on macOS and Windows allows artists to create precise and complex augmented reality experiences that can be further refined and previewed in a physical environment with an iPhone or iPad....

[SPOILERS for those not caught up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ahead.] - When season three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. came to a close, one of the biggest mysteries remaining was who the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was and why Coulson was no longer in charge. Viewers left wondering the answer to the question for months, with the popular theory hoping it would be the original Human Torch himself, Jim Hammond. That has proven to not be the case with it being recently confirmed that Jason O’Mara is playing Jeffrey Mace aka Patriot....

There are growing reports of an AirPods Max battery drain problem on the Apple Support Forums, Reddit, and elsewhere. Some owners are reporting that their headphone battery is draining from 100% to 1% or 0% overnight, even when left inside the official Apple case designed to drop them quickly into ultra-low power mode. Others are reporting drain not quite in the same league, but still dramatically higher than would be expected …...

Adobe stock climbed 10 percent to just under $60 in opening trading after announcing Q4 earnings in line with expectations, and strong growth in subscriptions as the company transitions away from one-time purchase licences. While year-on-year numbers were poor, revenue down almost 10 percent and earnings almost halved, Adobe has been at pains to point out this was expected as it shifted to subscription-based sales. Just ahead of 2019’s NAB Show in Las Vegas, Adobe is rolling out its annual spring updates to Creative Cloud’s video and audio tools. Like last year, machine learning features powered by Adobe Sensei are the driving force behind new tools and workflow improvements to After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, and Character Animator. Post-production professionals around the world will be delighted to learn that Content-Aware Fill is coming to video in After Effects....

India’s telecom regulator, TRAI, earlier this year threatened to ban iPhones in the country if Apple didn’t approve a government-developed Do Not Disturb app by January of 2019. According to an Apple spokesperson in India (via VentureBeat), Apple has approved such an app and it is now available as of today on the App Store. Named TRAI DND – Do Not Disturb, the app attempts to help Indian customers avoid unwanted phone calls and text messages, which has been an issue for a while within the country....

Ahead of the latest episode “What If…” airing on ABC this week, Marvel has unveiled a new poster for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. featuring the Patriot inside the Framework on the program’s official Twitter page. In just a few days, the show will return with an all new arc that looks to be the most ambitious one yet for the series. After a tense season building up the ideas of LMDs, the Framework, and post-humanism, the final batch of episodes this year will feature most of our heroes inside an alternate reality....
