Following years of rumors and leaks, the Apple AirTag is finally available to buy. I received mine on launch day last week, along with a Belkin Secure Holder to attach it to my keys. The real test of any Bluetooth tracker is when you actually lose the item they are attached to, and so far I haven’t lost my aforementioned keys. After a few days of artificial testing, though, I am generally very happy with the AirTag and would easily recommend them....

Her battle with Darth Vader left her fate up in the air, but with season four of Rebels being its last, the show will welcome back their other Force wielder....

Here’s the deal: Dell announced today that Shantanu Narayen, president and CEO of Adobe, has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Mr. Narayen, 46, joins the board immediately and will stand for election at Dell’s next shareholders meeting. “As CEO of one of the world’s largest and most diversified software companies, Shantanu will provide us with valuable insight as we develop and deliver IT solutions to customers,” said Michael Dell, chairman and CEO....

Adobe has published a sneak peek video showing off an impressive new feature coming soon to desktop Photoshop. A new Object Selection Tool hopes to speed up editing workflows through Sensei technology, Adobe’s artificial intelligence platform. Photoshop already offers a number of accelerated selection tools to ease the tedious job of masking portions of an image. The Magic Wand and Select Subject options help rough in a selection, but getting that selection just right still requires a bit of work....

Sprint’s CEO Daniel Hesse will take a small pay cut during 2012 after receiving a bit of flack from shareholders for investing so much in adding Apple’s iPhone to the network. Reuters reported Hesse will lose $3.25 million from his salary. Hesse said in a statement to Sprint HR: “These voluntary actions regarding my personal compensation, which total $3,250,830, will eliminate any benefit for me to the discretionary adjustment the compensation committee made earlier this year....

In March of 2019, Netflix teamed up with actor and comedian Ricky Gervais to produce After Life. The dark comedy’s first season introduces us to a man named Tony (Gervais) who recently lost his wife, Lisa, to cancer. In the coming months after her death, Tony is still trying to figure out life without her. He questions existence, a human’s purpose, and compassion as a whole. Without his wife, Tony feels like he has nothing and is nothing....

The time travel in season 5 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed relatively straightforward: the Agents were abducted and sent 78 years into the future via a Kree Monolith, where they were prophesied to save the world. (Fitz later joined them by taking ’the long way’ - cryogenically freezing himself.) This week’s episode ‘The Last Day’ complicated matters by introducing flashbacks which indicate that our heroes did already travel back in time to prevent Earth’s destruction - and couldn’t....

I’ll admit that spending $587 with taxes for a pair of headphones made by a consumer electronics company for recreational use – not by a professional audio company for some kind of productive workflow use – sounds completely insane. (Particularly when we’re in the middle of a pandemic and a lot of people can’t pay their bills....

Set in 1862, The Aeronauts follows Glaisher and Wren as they undertake a balloon expedition to fly higher than anyone else in history. In real-life, Glaisher conducted his record-breaking high altitude flight with fellow English aeronaut Henry Coxwell. However, for dramatic purposes, Coxwell has been replaced by Wren. The character is an amalgamation of Coxwell and Sophie Blanchard (the first woman professional balloonist), legendary American aviator Amelia Earhart, and Margaret Graham (the first British woman to make a solo balloon flight)....

Marvel Television and ABC made the surprise move earlier this year to bring Ghost Rider to season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. While the decision was initially questioned, it has proven to be one of the best things the show has done so far. Instead of highlighting the more well-known versions of the character, Gabriel Luna was brought on board to portray the lesser known Robbie Reyes iteration. Robbie differentiates himself by using the Hell Charger as his ride instead of the typical flaming motorcycle, but his look makes it impossible for him to be mistaken for anyone other than Ghost Rider....

[SPOILERS for those not caught up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ahead.] - The sudden death of actor Bill Paxton from post-surgical complications sent shockwaves through Hollywood, as evidenced by all the tributes that came pouring in after the news broke. Average Americans too felt a connection to Paxton and joined in paying homage to the beloved star. One particularly touching tribute saw storm chasers, many of whom no doubt were inspired to join that dangerous profession thanks to his blockbuster film Twister, using GPS to form Paxton’s initials....

Netflix has revealed that Adam Sandler will co-star with Chris Rock in The Week Of, the fourth comedy vehicle to come from his Netflix contract. The news hits on the heels of the announcement that Sandler’s Netflix deal was extended to another four films, though the first three were all critically derided, but found an audience. Of the three movies he’s rolled out since 2015, the recently unveiled Sandy Wexler has earned the highest reviews, and that’s with a lowly 31 percent on Rotten Tomatoes....

Adobe calls Creative Cloud Express a “unified task-based, web and mobile product” that was designed to help users “create and share beautiful rich multimedia content – from social media posts and stories to invitations to marketing materials like logos, flyers and banners.” Its drag-and-drop interface draws from “thousands of high-quality templates, 20,000 premium Adobe fonts and 175 million licensed Adobe Stock images.” Once loaded, these assets can be manipulated via Adobe’s Sensei artificial intelligence and machine learning platform, which powers several recently-introduced features in its Photoshop, Premier, and other software titles....

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 could be an essential tie-in to Avengers: Infinity War. Recent seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have abandoned the explicit tie-ins, but retained thematic ties to the larger MCU. When Doctor Strange introduced sorcery to the MCU, S.H.I.E.L.D. introduced Ghost Rider. Now, in Season 5, the series has taken on a cosmic edge just in time for Infinity War. But should the series be renewed for a sixth season, a far more direct tie-in could greatly benefit the MCU as a whole....

Just like Apple itself is doing, many app developers are celebrating Earth Day with new apps and promotions. After Ice is a new app that uses augmented reality to simulate the effects of climate change around the world… The app officially launched in the App Store today in honor of Earth Day this weekend. The app works by simulating your location in various future scenarios of global ice melt and sea level rise....

Special Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) has come a long way since she was first recruited by Coulson (Clark Gregg) to join his his special team Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Along with her lab partner Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), the enthusiastic biochemist was originally one half of the adorkable duo FitzSimmons, though it’s been quite some time since she could be described as perky. After making it through being dropped on the bottom of the ocean, a stint undercover in HYDRA and surviving on an alien planet for month Simmons is still an excellent doctor, but far more jaded than before....

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Agents of SHIELD season 4, episode 16: ‘What If…’ - Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returned for the third distinct “pod” of season 4 and with it brought a frightening New World Order. The first pod introduced Ghost Rider to the Marvel Cinematic Universe; the second pod involved Dr. Radcliffe’s creation of the Framework, a virtual reality world not unlike The Matrix, and human-like Life Model Decoys (‘LMDs’) to replace the Agents of S....

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 finally has a release date. With Marvel’s expanding TV slate, it’s becoming harder for fans to keep the pieces together. With properties on ABC, Netflix, and now Hulu with Runaways, the comic giant has the monumental task of keeping each entity unique while potentially leaving room for connecting storylines. Still going is the first MCU TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is soon going to be returning for its fifth season....
