Adobe’s two Photoshop apps for iOS — Fix and Mix — have both been updated with a handful of new features for iPhone and iPad users. Fix and Mix both gain a new enhancement that should make living with low storage devices much easier, and both apps can now import full resolution images from Lightroom in addition to other new features.

If you’ve been struggling to use Photoshop Mix and Fix on a 16GB iPhone or iPad, the new versions should improve the experience with this space-saving feature.

Adobe has also lifted the old 2000×2000 image resolution cap on imports from Lightroom, making full-res imports possible in the latest versions, and recently added photos are now easier to access in a dedicated section when browsing.

Photoshop Mix and Fix also gain a new visual trick that Adobe says will help tutorial video creators:

Both Fix and Mix also now preserve metadata for images used in projects. Each app gains unique features as well starting with Photoshop Fix:

And Photoshop Mix gets better Adobe Stock integration plus image masking improvements:

PUT THE FOCUS ON FACES Photoshop Fix’s Vignette feature can now tell if your main subject is a face and then automatically adjust the vignette around it for emphasis.

EASILY FIND PHOTO SPECS Want to know a photo’s size or the date it was taken? See all the details in the Overview Metadata panel.

Adobe Photoshop Fix and Photoshop Mix are both available for free from the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

BETTER MASKING OF LARGE IMAGES Get sharper mask edges with the basic brush, and adjust masks at the per-pixel level on most images. Great for iPad Pro!
