The fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is officially back now that the first episode has aired on the East coast. After months of waiting, viewers have finally been able to witness the impressive introduction of Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes aka Ghost Rider. With his Hell Charger and flaming skull at full force, he quickly proved to be a problem that Daisy (Chloe Bennet) will be dealing with in the coming weeks. Their first duel ends with the newcomer the unquestioned winner, although he did spare adding Daisy to his list of victims.

With the first episode already in the books, it is time to look ahead to the second episode, titled “Meet the New Boss,” which if you couldn’t tell will be the debut of Jason O’Mara as the mysterious new S.H.I.E.L.D. director. If the first promo for the episode is any indication, Ghost Rider will still be a big factor in the coming episode.

Television Promos has released the first promo for the second episode of the season, which teases the next match between Daisy and Ghost Rider taking place. There is no presence of the new director in the short promo, but it does offer up more looks at Ghost Rider’s full fiery form and his visually stunning transformations. Take a look:

It is both surprising and reassuring that it appears as if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will not shy away from Ghost Rider. He is clearly a VFX-heavy character in his full form, but two transformations in two weeks should be a great sign for this to continue all season long. Fans who have been following the production of season 4 may have noticed that the scene of Daisy clinging to the top of the Hell Charger is from one of the early set videos to come out.

After seeing previously established Marvel characters not fully realized on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., fans should be excited at the level of dedication to the character and Ghost Rider’s involvement in the story. Viewers should be getting a weekly dose of Ghost Rider that hopefully continues throughout the season. The show has plenty of expectations to live up to after bringing in a bigger name (as in Ghost Rider, not Robbie Reyes in particular), so giving him the necessary screen time to make that a reality is a great sign early on.
